Technical Difficulties in Munich

Well i just uploaded a nice set of pics but my journal entry will not post for what ever reason.. A quick roundup of todays activites then, and i will try for pics in Vienna which i leave for early tomorrow.

Took my bike to the Royal Palace and strolled its huge garden. Read a bit more of Barrel Fever by David Sedaris, excellent book! Then i went to see the Frauenkirche Church, the landmark church of munich. It is designed in such a way that you can only see the window in back of the altar when standing at the back of the church. Its a neat effect and a unique church overall. There is also the "devils foot print" in the back of the church, made my the devil himself when he saw this "windowless" church. I also saw Asamkirche church, which is a small chapel ornately decoroted beyond all belief.. i:ve got a few nice pics. Later on i went to the Viktualienmarkt or as i call it "virtual alien market", a large traditional marketplace with butchers, produce, beer stands and everything else in between. While walking back from the market i saw a young guy about my age with a modern style of dress, from the waist up.. below his waist he was wearing lederhosen, leather shorts! They were for real, no dress up costume shorts, you could tell they were broken in.. again i have pictures, if only this friggin computer!! Later that night i went to the jazz club, unterfahrt (go ahead, say it, unter-fart, haha fart) to see "trio elf". Piano, bass and drums with a heavy use of electronics.. with the last piece thrown in, i knew it would be a crap shoot, either love it or hate it. they had potential and got into some good grooves but they also did too much free-jazz "rythms". i left after the first set. Man do i miss the music scene in boston! I haven;t been able to find anyplace inside the city that specializes in rock based music only.. nothing like the middle east, tt the bears, i;d even go for the something like the paradise.. nothing. I wanted to go see Tokyo Ska Orchestra last night it was far out on the metro and i didn;t get ready till late.. They do have a good variety of street musicians, i saw a 4 piece, two accordians, and two violins playing classical and also a great jazz quartet and a singer, guitar playing who did a comedy skit that was very entertaining.. i at first thought he was aussie (judging by odd accent when speaking english) but tonight he spoke fluent german.. interesting character.

is it comfortable wearing leather shorts? Does that feel good chaffing on one's skin?
