Cesky Krumlov
Hello from the small southern town of Cesky Krumlov. I got in last night after much troubles. I went to the bus station about 9 am to catch the bus here, only to realize, just before boarding the bus that i left my camera battery and charger in the hostel. D'oh!! So i raced back, got my stuff and then back to the bus station to catch the 10:30 bus.... which apparently doesn't run on Friday. Great! So much for a full day in Cesky. I hung out at my favorite coffee house, internet point, "bohemia bagel" for many hours and caught the 3:30 bus. Got into town about 8pm and met two other guys (aussie and french) looking for the same hostel. We hung out for the rest of teh night. Had some great food at teh hostel restaurant and talked with some local cesky kids (17) who come to this restaurant for teh cheap beer. They were into metal (soulfly) and wen tto school for computers. They were interested in spending the next "holiday" working in either australia, london or US. They also really liked living in Cesky Krumlov, which was surprising.. they didn't have a typical angst teen attitude like i thought, they really liked their town and were not dying to get out. Walked around town later, cute place, huge castle! I'm off to explore everything now while everyone else in my dorm room sleeps. Pics later maybe, although not on these computers in teh hostel.. I'm using an old Dell "desktop" with a busted-ass apple monitor. The shower here is also pretty crudy.. it seems large hairy men shave their back there and clog up the drains so that teh shower fills with a lovely pool of "water" :)
